Toshiba introduces Hall-sensorless sine wave drive 3 phase DC brushless motor control predrive IC

     Toshiba Electronics Components and Storage Company has announced the launch of a 3-phase brushless DC motor controlled pre-drive IC, "TC78B011FTG", which is suitable for high-speed motors used by server fans and blowers, as well as vacuum motors used by cordless vacuum cleaners and sweeping robots. 

     TC78B011FTG adopts sine wave drive method without hall sensor control. This helps reduce vibration and noise. In addition, the built-in closed-loop speed control enables users to program detailed speed curves into the IC's non-volatile memory (NVM), eliminating the need for an external MCU to suppress speed fluctuations due to supply voltage or load fluctuations.

     At the same time, Toshiba has also mass-produced the TC78B009FTG with square wave drive mode without hall sensor control. Users can choose the right product according to their own motor drive mode.
