Toshiba launches new reusable electronic fuse eFuse IC

     Toshiba Electronic Devices & Storage Corporation announced the launch of a new eFuse IC "TCKE712BNL", further enriching the eFuse IC product line. This product is reusable and has the function of protecting the power line circuit.

     Traditional physical fuses such as glass tube fuses and chip fuses physically cut off the power cord in an overcurrent state to protect the power cord, but must be replaced once blown. Designed to replace such fuses, eFuse ICs provide protection and safety for power lines, while offering a range of built-in protection features in addition to highly accurate overcurrent protection.

     The TCKE712BNL protects the power line with an overvoltage protection function that can be adjusted by external resistors according to user requirements. At the same time, it has built-in reverse blocking current function in shutdown state, which can be used in power multiplexer applications. In addition, it has built-in overcurrent protection, short circuit protection and thermal shutdown. The device also has a FLAG function that can send an external signal if an abnormality occurs in the circuit, making it easier to detect possible malfunctions than Toshiba's current products.
