Toshiba's hard drive product line adds 12TB and 14TB helium-sealed hard drive models

     Toshiba announced the addition of 12TB[1] and 14TB models to its N300 series NAS hard drives and X300 series high-performance hard drives.
The new 12TB and 14TB models feature a helium-sealed hard drive design, enabling a 3.5-inch mechanical design that provides higher storage density and lower hard drive operating power distribution. Toshiba's laser welding technology and hard drive case design allow the helium to be securely sealed inside the drive housing.

     The new 12TB and 14TB models run at 7,200rpm while providing an ultra-high data buffer of 256MB. The N300 Series NAS and X300 series HDD models use Toshiba's advanced stabilization disc technology to minimize vibration, improve tracking accuracy and maximize performance during read and write operations by stabilizing motor shafts at both ends.

     The N300 Series NAS hard drive models include a rotary vibration (RV) sensor with continuous data transfer speeds up to 260MB/s(14TB) or 253MB/s(12TB), respectively. The new N300 model supports up to 8[2] HDD multi-RAID systems and is highly scalable for user NAS configurations to meet users' growing data storage needs, enabling them to efficiently store and access large amounts of data in their daily operations.

     The N300 Series NAS drives are suitable for high-performance personal, home office, and small business network-attached storage applications, such as scalable RAID systems. The product is optimized to meet the performance, reliability and durability requirements of 24/7 mass storage operations.

     With extremely high performance and reliable storage capacity, the X300 series of high-performance hard drives are suitable for creative and professional applications such as graphic design, animation, photo and video editing, and computer games. The new hard drive has a capacity of up to 14TB, making it easy to store and access a library of popular games.
