Triad's Medical-grade power transformer offers 4kv isolation and low voltage step-down

     Triad Magnetics has introduced the VPM family of Medical-grade ring isolation transformers that provide 4kv insulating isolation and low voltage step-down. The VPM family of single transformer solutions has fewer components and higher efficiency than typical solutions that preposition standard 1:1 isolation transformers to non-medical grade designs.

     The UL approved VPM series is rated from 25 VA to 10 KVA at 50/60 Hz. Compared with EI transformers, the shielded ring structure with a flux band reduces the stray field while reducing the size and improving the efficiency. In addition, they provide resettable overtemperature protection. 3D models are available for all VPM transformers, allowing users to check the suitability of each unit in drawings, saving time and money.

     VPM Series 25 VA to 2.5 KVA VPM transformers are equipped with 100 V(AC), 120 V(AC), 220 V(AC), and 240 V(AC) input sockets. Models offer voltage output of 6 V(AC), 9 V(AC), 12 V(AC), 15 V(AC), 18 V(AC), 24 V(AC), 30 V(AC), 36 V(AC), 48 V(AC), or 120 V(AC). Many voltage options are available for these small transformers, as these transformers are more likely to be placed in a unit, allowing the user to eliminate additional isolation transformers.

     Larger 3,000 VA to 10,000 VA VPM transformers can be used to drive several devices that require input of 120 V(AC) or 240 V(AC) (output of the VPM transformer). These transformers have an input of 208v(AC) or 240v(AC).
