TRINAMIC Motion Control Ltd. announced the launch of its latest PANdrive smart motor product line, adding the PD-1378, which is equipped with a stepper servo drive controller with superior performance. A complete mechatronics solution, the closed-loop drive control section supports 12... With a drive power of 48V DC voltage and 9A RMS current, the easy-to-use PANdrive is controlled via a CAN bus interface and supports either CANopen or TMCL protocols.

Available in NEMA23, NEMA24 and NEMA34 flange sizes, closed-loop smart stepper motors offer servo-driven efficiency while providing greater output torque at low speeds than similar-sized servo-motors. This makes them ideal for automation across industries where requirements for energy efficiency, volume, cost, and noise are increasingly stringent. With a holding torque range from 55Ncm-700Ncm, the plug-and-play PANdrive solution is suitable for laboratory automation, intelligent manufacturing, robotics, factory automation and CNC applications.

At the heart of the product is TRINAMIC's own TMC5160 driver and TMC4361 servo controller IC, which converts digital information into perfect physical motion. In addition to Trinamic's popular drive features, including improved energy efficiency and quiet operation, the PD-1378 provides advanced trajectory motion control with SixPoint™ and S-shaped ramp curves.
