Tris has expanded the synchronous rectifier buck DC/DC converter

     Tris Semiconductor Corporation has developed the in-vehicle reliability standard AEC-Q100, 36V operating driver Tr built-in, 600mA output current synchronous rectifier step-down DC/DC converter, XD9267/XD9268 series.

     In recent years, with the increasing number of electronic components installed in automobiles, the use and function of LDO have begun to switch to DC/DC in order to reduce power consumption. In addition, due to the increased need for space savings, the demand for small packaged components is also expanding. This development of synchronous rectifier buck DC/DC converter XD9267/XD9268 series products, it is to achieve the above market requirements of the power IC.

     The input voltage range of the product is between 3.0V and 36.0V (absolute maximum rating is 40V), the output voltage range is between 1.0V and 25.0V, and the oscillation frequency is 2.2MHz. Different operating modes can be selected in PWM control (XD9267) and PWM/PFM Automatic Switching control (XD9268). High efficiency and low ripple voltages are achieved across the load range from light to heavy loads. The efficiency of light load (1mA) is 82%, and the world's smallest 36V step-down synchronous rectifier DC/DC makes the efficiency of the voltage regulator after replacement greatly improved, the power consumption is halved, and the actual installation area is also reduced to 1/2 of the original.

     The soft start time is set internally to 2.0ms (TYP.), and can be set arbitrarily for longer periods through resistors and capacitors. Protection features include overcurrent limit, UVLO, and thermal shutdown. The state of the output voltage can also be monitored through the Power Good function.
