Very compact safety-grade S2 motor running capacitor

     TDK has announced that its new compact EPCOS motor operating capacitor B33331I6* series, which comply with safety grade S2 and IEC 60335-2-24 standards, will be available in September 2023. Typical applications of these capacitors are compressor motors in refrigerators and freezers, and pumps in industrial applications.

     The rugged aluminum can has a very compact size, making this series the most compact motor run capacitor available today. The diameter is only 30mm or 35mm, depending on capacitance, and the height varies from 73mm to 103mm, including connections.

     They have a voltage of 450VAC, a frequency of 50/60Hz, and come in 13 types with capacitors ranging from 1μF to 20μF. Self-healing resin-filled capacitors with internal overvoltage disconnect protection have a service life of 10,000 hours at 450VAC. The standard connection is a 2+2 quick-connect connector (6.3mm x 0.8mm), which can be changed according to customer specifications. Versions with M8 bolts at the bottom of the housing are also available. All models are UL and VDE certified and bear the CE mark.
