Vishay Intertechnology, Inc. has announced the launch of a 100 percent lead-free (Pb) version of its popular NTCALUG family of negative temperature coefficient (NTC) ring terminal thermistors, making it the industry's most advanced device in this category that fully meets RoHS non-exempt standards.

     Vishay Intertechnology, Inc. announced the availability of a 100 % lead (Pb) free version of its popular NTCALUG series of negative temperature coefficient (NTC) ring terminal thermistors, making it the industry's first fully RoHS compliant advanced device of its kind.

 

     NTCALUG series thermistors feature 100 % lead (Pb)-free ceramics, which contribute to a cleaner environment by eliminating hazardous substances that can cause problems during recycling and disposal. In addition, RoHs exemption clause 7c-l allows lead in glass, this product is completely lead-free, and after clause 7c-l expires, our products are also fully lead-free design requirements.

 

     The NTCALUG family includes a variety of devices for accurate temperature sensing in automotive, consumer and industrial applications. Standard ring terminal thermistors can operate continuously at +150 °C with a reliability of up to 5,000 hours (dry high temperature). The device features a nickel conductor and low profile ring tongue lug design with low thermal gradients, making the small ring lug sensor ideal for fast temperature measurements in space-constrained applications.

 

     Available in both AEC-Q200 and cULus certified versions, the NTCALUG family of devices is rated for insulation voltages up to 2.7 kVAC, and features rugged construction with ring terminals for easy installation. Thermistors offer a range of custom options to meet a variety of special design requirements for electric vehicle (EV) battery management systems, consumer electronics, 3D printers, heating ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC), welding equipment, alternative energy systems, motors Drives, power electronics, etc.
