Vishay Launches Leadless NTC Thermistor Bare Sheet with Silver Solder Layer

Vishay Intertechnology, Inc. announces the launch of a new series of lead-free NTC therresistor naked tablets, NTCC201E4, which touch the top and bottom surfaces to provide designers with a variety of installation options. Vishay BCcomponents NTCC201E4 uses a silver metal welding layer that supports aluminum wire bonding and can be reflow or formic acid/synthetic gas reflow, SAC or SMP, and sintered with silver nanopaste.

     Vishay Intertechnology, Inc. announced the launch of a new series of leadless NTC thermistor bare sheet - NTCC201E4, which has upper and lower surface contact, providing designers with a variety of installation options. Vishay BCcomponents NTCC201E4 uses silver metal welding layer, supports aluminum wire bonding, and can adopt vacuum reflow welding or formic acid/synthetic gas reflow welding, SAC or SMP welding and nano silver paste sintering.

 

     The device can operate at a temperature of - 55 ° C to+175 ° C, meeting AEC-Q200 standard, and can be used for temperature detection, control and compensation of automobile and alternative energy applications. The final products include IGBT modules, power MOSFET modules and power inverters, which are applicable to electric vehicles (EV) and hybrid electric vehicles (HEV), solar panels and wind turbines.


     The metal layer of NTCC201E4 thermistor is divided into upper and lower layers. Compared with the previous generation devices, the outer layer has excellent resistance to welding leaching, especially when using high melting point solder with temperature up to+360 ° C. The inner layer is resistant to formic acid etching when using preformed solder and H2/N2 synthetic gas.


     The thermistor complies with RoHS and Vishay green standards and is halogen-free. The resistance value is 4.7 k Ω to 20 k Ω at+25 ° C (R25), with a tolerance as low as ± 1%. The beta value (B25/85) is 3435 K to 3865 K, with a tolerance of only ± 1%. The device has a maximum power consumption of 50 mW, a response time of 3 seconds, and is packaged with PS bubble tape.
