Vishay Launches New AEC-Q200 Standard Automotive Fast Melting Film Patch Fuse

     Vishay Intertechnology, Inc. introduced a new fast breaking film patch fuse - MFU 0603 AT. Vishay Beyschlag MFU 0603 AT conforms to AEC-Q200 standard, with rated current of 0.5 A to 5.0 A, suitable for various automotive applications.

     In addition to small load circuit protection, the recently released devices can also be used for voltage detection circuit protection of electric (EV) and hybrid electric vehicle (HEV) battery management systems. The highly controlled film manufacturing process of fuses ensures extremely stable fusing characteristics in these applications.

     MFU 0603 AT is firmly designed. Homogeneous metal alloy film is deposited on the surface of high-grade ceramic substrate, and the fuse is coated with electrical, mechanical and climate protection layers. The high sulfur resistance of the device complies with ASTM B 809 standard. Under the condition of 85 ° C/85% relative humidity, the device has passed 1000 hour temperature humidity bias voltage test and thermal shock test.

     The overall dimension of the fuse is 0603, the rated voltage is 63 V, the breaking capacity is 50 A, and the operating temperature range is - 55 ° C to+125 ° C. The fuse complies with RoHS and Vishay green standards and is halogen-free. It is suitable for automatic SMD assembly system processing, wave soldering, reflow soldering or gas phase automatic welding.
