Vishay Launches New Ultra Low Power Consumption Commercial IHDM Side Winding Plug in Inductors

     Vishay Intertechnology announced the launch of two new commercial 1107 packaged IHDM side wound plug-in inductors - IHDM-1107BBEV-20 and IHDM-1107BBEV-30, with a soft saturation current of 422 A. Vishay Custom Magnetics IHDM-1107BBEV-20 and IHDM-1107BBEV-30 adopt iron powder core technology, which has excellent sensitivity and saturation current stability, low power consumption and excellent heat dissipation performance in the harsh operating temperature range of - 55 ° C to+180 ° C.

     The DC resistance (DCR) of the side wound coil is as low as 0.25 m Ω to minimize the loss and improve the rated current performance and efficiency. Compared with the ferrite based solution, the rated current and soft saturation current of IHDM-1107BBEV-20 and IHDM-1107BBEV-30 increase by 30% respectively and remain stable at+180 ° C continuous operating temperature. The inductor has a soft saturation characteristic, and the inductance value can be expected to decrease with the increase of current, and is not affected by temperature.

     The inductor has a working voltage of up to 350 V and is suitable for high current and high temperature power applications, including industrial, medical and defense systems DC/DC converters, inverters, differential mode chokes, and motor and switching noise suppression filter circuits. Inductors have two types of core materials, which can be selected and optimized according to the application.

     IHDM-1107BBEV-20 and IHDM-1107BBEV-30 standard stripe tin plated pins are suitable for plug-in fixing. At the same time, Vishay can customize the device performance according to the requirements of inductance, DC resistance, rated current and rated voltage. Customizable mounting options include bare copper, surface mount, and press fit. In order to reduce the risk of tin whisker growth, the inductor is hot-dip tinned.
