Vishay Launches Thin Film Chip Resistors for Industrial and Aerospace Applications

     Vishay Intertechnology, Inc. announced the launch of a new high-precision film chip resistor - PEP, which is suitable for industrial and aerospace applications. In addition to the advanced resistance range, Vishay Sfernice PEP's high rated power and small size dimensions are advanced in the industry, which help to miniaturize and reduce the mechanical stress of solder joints, thus improving reliability.the device complies with RoHS and Vishay green standards, is halogen-free, and its sulfur resistance has passed ASTM B809-95 wet steam test.

     The resistance released recently includes four packages from 0402 to 1206. The 1206 package has a rated power of up to 1 W (no need to cool the bottom of the PCB). The PEP resistance range is 39 to 900 k, with a tolerance as low as 0.05%, and the operating temperature is - 55 C to+155 C. The resistance noise coefficient is less than - 35 dB, and the voltage coefficient is less than 0.01 ppm/V. The typical value of the load life stability rate under+70 C for 2000 hours is 0.1%, and each typical index is superior to the technical requirements of MIL-PRF-55342G.

     PEP is suitable for precision applications requiring low noise and high stability under time and temperature conditions. The final products include instruments, national defense and avionics navigation systems, automatic test equipment, industrial appliances and operational amplifiers for test and measurement equipment.
