Vishay axial cement winding resistance added bending options for easy pick-up processing

     Vishay Intertechnology has announced that its AC and AC-AT series of axial cement winding resistors have added a new bending option for pickup and drop processing, namely, WSZ guide devices, AC03 WSZ and AC03-AT WSZ, which can be used as surface mount components. The Vishay Draloric resistor, with its high power rating and excellent pulse resistance, is the industry's first non-inductive resistor of its kind.

     The WSZ lead resistance can be pasted on the PCB together with other surface mounting devices to improve the picking and placing process and reduce the cost. The device can be used as buffer resistor, load resistor and surge current limiting resistor, and is suitable for pre charging/discharging applications of automotive and industrial electronics, energy meters and white household appliances.

     The device is coated with solid and flame resistant silicone cement, which complies with UL 94 V-0 flame retardant test standard and is suitable for use under severe working conditions. The working temperature of the resistor is - 55 C to+250 C. The winding structure meets the strict requirements of mechanical resistance, thermal shock, dielectric strength and high temperature insulation resistance. The device complies with RoHS standard, halogen-free, and tinned termination is compatible with lead-free (Pb) and lead containing (Pb) welding processes.
