Vishay extends the IHSR family of high-saturation commercial inductors with the introduction of the latest ultra-thin package of 4 mm x 4 mm 1616 form factor, the IHSR-1616AB-01. The Vishay Dale IHSR-1616AB-01 is designed for multiphase high-current power supplies and filters for computer, industrial, and communications applications, with a DC resistance (DCR) of 50% lower than a typical power inductor, a DC resistance standard tolerance of 5%, and a minimum tolerance of 3% for more accurate current sampling.

The Vishay Dale IHSR-1616AB-01 is designed for multiphase high-current power supplies and filters for computer, industrial, and communications applications, with a DC resistance (DCR) of 50% lower than a typical power inductor, a DC resistance standard tolerance of 5%, and a minimum tolerance of 3% for more accurate current sampling.

 

     The device has a frequency range of up to 5MHz and is particularly suitable for DC/DC converter energy storage, as well as high current filtering below the inductor self-resonant frequency (SRF) (see table below). Applications include laptops, desktops, and servers; Thin high-current power supply and filter; And DC/DC converters for distributed power systems.

 

     With typical DC resistance as low as 1.15m and inductance up to 0.068µH, the IHSR-1616AB-01 has a higher current density in its class, while the 1.2mm height makes the finished design even thinner. The inductor can operate at +125 °C with A rated current of up to 62 A and can handle high transient current spikes without saturation.

 

     The inductor package features a 100% lead-free (Pb) shielded composite construction that reduces buzzer noise to ultra-low levels and provides extremely high resistance to thermal shock, moisture and mechanical vibration. IHSR-1616AB-01 complies with RoHS and Vishay Green standards and is halogen-free.
