Vishay extends the NCW AT series of wide-terminal thin-film chip resistors

     Vishay Intertechnology announced that it has expanded its NCW AT family of wide terminal thin film chip resistors with the introduction of a new device in size 0612. For power electronics in automotive and industrial applications, the Vishay Beyschlag NCW 0612 AT components combine high temperature performance with excellent long-term stability, with high power consumption up to 1 W and low resistance values as low as 0.10Ω.

     Compatible with the previously released NCW 0406 AT, this family of AEC-Q200 compliant devices offers a wide range of terminal contact geometrics-resulting in excellent thermal cycle resistance. In addition, these resistors offer high operating temperatures up to +175°C, advanced sulfur resistance verified according to ASTM B 809, and excellent moisture resistance at 85°C and 85% relative humidity.

     These specifications allow designers to use NCW AT series resistors in harsh and high-temperature environments without compromising power ratings or electrical performance. Resistors are ideal for most areas of modern professional power electronics, where power consumption, reliability, stability and durability design are major concerns. Typical applications will include DC/DC converters, LED drivers, DC current monitoring, and battery management systems.
