Vishay extends the resistance range of the MCA 1206 AT Precision series thin film chip resistors

     Vishay Intertechnology announced that it has expanded the resistance range of its MC AT Precision series of automotive grade film mountable resistors from 47Ω to 10 Mω in the 1206 housing size. The MCA 1206 AT is the only device in the industry that combines resistance values above 5MΩ with a TCR of ±25 ppm/K, a strict tolerance of ± 0.1%, and film stability.

     The Vishay Beyschlag MCA 1206 AT features excellent moisture resistance, excellent temperature cycle stability and advanced sulfur resistance (in accordance with ASTM B 809) and is designed to provide stable performance in automotive, industrial, medical and telecommunications equipment under harsh environmental conditions. In these applications, such as battery management systems, the device will typically be used as the high ohmic part of the voltage divider.

     The resistor operates at 200 V, has a power rating of 400 mW at ambient temperatures of +70°C, and can operate in a temperature range of -55°C to +155°C. The equipment complies with AEC-Q200 and RoHS specifications.
