Vishay has introduced a new modular panel potentiometer with an industry-leading 8 Ncm torque

     Vishay Intertechnology, Inc. announces the launch of its new modular panel potentiometer, the P11H, with an industry-leading 8 Ncm torque -- 200% higher than its closest competitor -- for off-road, aerospace and industrial applications. The Vishay Sfernice P11H can be configured with up to seven modules in a 12.5mm small size package with a 6.35mm axle diameter.

     The recently released high-torque device can maintain stability under harsh environmental conditions such as temperature changes and high humidity, and maintain its set/axis position under high vibration and impact conditions. The torque of the device is smooth and the change is less than 20% during the whole service life of 50,000 cycles.

     The P11H can be used as a voltage divider or rheostat for lighting, radio volume and air conditioning control panels for tractors and construction equipment, as well as industrial processing equipment and welders, motor speed and low power control panels. For these applications, the cermet element of the device offers higher stability than the carbon element, while its 1,500 VRMS electrical strength provides a significant increase in reliability and robustness.

     P11H operating temperature range -55 °C to +125 °C, standard resistance values are 1 kΩ, 4.7 kΩ, 10 kΩ, 47 kW and 100 kΩ, contact resistance variation is 2% or 3 Ω, temperature coefficient (TCR) is as low as ± 150 ppm/°C. RoHS compliant and CECC 41000 or IEC 60393-1 tested potentiometers are available with custom axle diameters, lead connectors, connection plates and other value-added options.
