Vishay Intertechnology, Inc. announced the launch of a new IHVR radial fixed inductor with overall dimensions of 10.25 mm x 6.4 mm x 10 mm 4025 -- IHVR-4025JZ-3Z. Vishay Dale IHVR-4025JZ-3Z adopts a new design, which optimizes inductance, reduces DC internal resistance (DCR), and improves the efficiency of DC/DC converter. Its working temperature is up to+155 ° C, and it is suitable for computer, server, communication and industrial applications.
Compared with the traditional inductor, the device released recently has a small volume. It uses a unique radial fixing design to save the space of the circuit board. The air flow can be used to improve the cooling efficiency. At the same time, the DC internal resistance is reduced by 50% to 0.130 mW (typical value), and the rated current is up to 112 A. Compared with the inefficient solution, the new device with low DC internal resistance can significantly save the energy cost of the whole life cycle of the server. In addition, its rectangular shape can be better matched with other circuit board components, which is convenient for designers to keep the circuit board trace length equal and reduce phase imbalance.
The IHVR-4025JZ-3Z is particularly suited for DC/DC converter energy storage, up to 5 MHz frequency, and high current filtering below the inductor self-resonance frequency (SRF). Device applications include desktop computers and servers, thin-phase high-current power supplies, load point (POL) converters, distributed power systems, and FPgas. In these applications, the inductance and saturation current of the inductor are very stable over the entire operating temperature range from -40 °C to +155 °C.
IHVR-4025JZ-3Z adopts 100 % lead free (Pb) shielding composite structure, noise is reduced to a very low level, with high thermal shock resistance, moisture resistance, mechanical vibration resistance, can handle high transient current spikes without saturation. The device meets RoHS and Vishay green standards and is halogen-free.
