Vishay introduces 190 RTL series of low impedance, automotive grade small aluminum electrolytic capacitors

     Vishay Intertechnology introduces a new series of low impedance, automotive grade small aluminum electrolytic capacitors - the 190 RTL series capacitors. With a ripple current of up to 3.36A, it can operate at +125 C and has a service life of up to 6,000 hours at 125 °C.

     The Vishay BCcomponents 190 RTL series capacitor impedance is lower than previous generation solutions, and the ripple current is 10% to 15% higher, allowing designers to use fewer components, which increases design flexibility and saves board space. In addition, the device complies with the AEC-Q200 standard and is available in a variety of small form factor packages from 10 mm x 12 mm to 18 mm x 35 mm.

     The 190 RTL series capacitors feature radial leads, a cylindrical aluminum housing insulated with a blue sleeve between the decompression device, rated voltages up to 50 V, capacities from 100 µF to 6800 µF, and maximum impedance as low as 0.017. The capacitor has the function of anti-charge and discharge.

     This series of polarized aluminum electrolytic capacitors with non-solid-state electrolyte is RoHS compliant and is suitable for smoothing, filtering and buffering of switching power supplies and DC/DC converters for a variety of high-temperature applications in industry, automotive, communications, medical and defense.
