Vishay introduces AC filter film capacitors for continuous and stable operation in high humidity environments

     Vishay Intertechnology introduces a new series of AC filter metallized polypropylene film capacitors for high humidity environments - the MKP1847C AC filter. The Vishay Roederstein MKP1847C AC filter capacitor withstands harsh temperature and humidity bias (THB) tests - up to 56 days at rated voltage, temperature 40 C, and relative humidity 93% - with no change in the electrical performance of the device.

     When working under harsh environmental conditions, the capacitor ensures stable capacity and ESR value and long service life cycle. Compared to previous generation devices, the MKP1847C AC Filter series capacitors offer higher humidity robustness and lower cost in the same package size. The device is reliable, suitable for UPS system, renewable energy inverter grid-connected interface, and welding equipment input and output filtering.

     The MKP1847C AC Filter series capacitors have rated capacities from 1 µF to 70 µF with capacity tolerances as low as 10% and rated voltages of 230 VAC, 250 VAC, 275 VAC, 310 VAC and 350 VAC. Capacitor self-inductance of less than 1 nH per millimeter lead spacing, peak current up to 750 A, RMS current up to 26 A. The new series of reliable capacitors feature a refractory plastic housing and resin seal with a maximum operating temperature of +105 ºC.
