Vishay introduces AEC-Q200 certified new underframe fixed wire wound resistors to provide high reliability, precision and stability for electric vehicles

     Vishay Intertechnology, Inc. announces the launch of a new family of AEC-Q200 certified bottom frame fixed wire wound resistors, the RHA family, for the growing electric vehicle (EV) market.

     Vishay Dale RHA series resistors are mounted directly on the chassis of the vehicle to achieve heat dissipation. This highly reliable device features an all-welded molded construction for full environmental protection, operating temperatures ranging from -55 °C to +250 °C. In addition to the taillight voltage divider and the dimming circuit current limiter for interior lighting, the resistor can also be used as a precharge and discharge resistor for electric vehicles.

     The device released today comes in four small packages and is rated up to 50 W. Resistance accuracy and stability are high, tolerance is only ± 1%, TCR temperature coefficient is as low as 20 ppm/°C, resistance value range is 0.1kW to 39.2kW. RHA series resistors meet RoHS and Vishay green standards and are halogen-free.
