Vishay introduces AEC-Q200 certified thin-film resistors with high reliability

     Vishay Intertechnology has announced the launch of a new AEC-Q200 certified series of thin film chip resistors, the CHA series, which provide high frequency performance up to 70 GHz for automotive, aerospace and avionics, and telecommunications applications. The Vishay Sfernice CHA series is available in a compact 02016 package size with resistance values ranging from 10 to 500.

     The newly released device has ultra-low internal reactance and performs close to pure resistors over a large frequency range, with an almost flat Z/R curve and frequencies up to 70 GHz. Even after the most stressed AEC-Q200 test, the microwave resistor maintains high frequency stability - verified by measuring ΔR and Z/R - guaranteeing excellent performance in harsh environmental conditions.

     The CHA series is ideal for applications such as automotive ADAS, LiDAR, connectivity, 4D radar systems, LEO satellite and space communication systems and telemetry systems, drones and RF antennas. For these applications, the devices offer a limit voltage of 30 V, a power rating of 30 mW at +70 C, a temperature coefficient of 100 ppm/C, and can be supplied on request at 50 ppm/C.

     To reduce development time and costs, device parametric data is available for electronic simulation in addition to Ansys HFSS 3D Models, Modelithics Microwave Global Models (PCB and pad extensions) and design kits. These resistors are RoHS compliant, halogen-free, Vishay Green, and come in a roll-and-tape package. Resistors are RoHS compliant, halogen-free, Vishay green compliant, and packaged in braid and reel.
