
Vishay Intertechnology has announced the launch of a 100% lead-free (Pb) version of its popular NTCALUG series of negative temperature coefficient (NTC) torus thermistors, making them the industry's first fully RoHS compliant, non-exempt device.
Using 100% lead-free (Pb) ceramics, NTCALUG series thermistors eliminate harmful substances that can cause problems during recycling and disposal, thereby contributing to a cleaner environment. In addition, RoHs exemption clause 7c-l allows lead in glass, this product is completely lead-free, after clause 7c-l expired, our product is also fully lead-free design requirements.
The NTCALUG family includes a wide range of devices for accurate temperature sensing in automotive, consumer electronics and industrial applications. Standard torus thermistors operate continuously at +150 °C for up to 5,000 hours of reliability (dry high temperature). The device is designed with a nickel conductor and thin ring-tongue connector with a low thermal gradient, and the small ring-chip sensor is particularly suitable for fast temperature measurement in space-constrained applications.
The NTCALUG series devices are available in AEC-Q200 and cULus certified versions with rated insulation voltages up to 2.7 kVAC, robust construction and easy installation of ring terminals. Thermistors are available in a range of custom options to meet a variety of special design requirements for electric vehicle (EV) battery management systems, consumer electronics, 3D printers, heating, ventilation and air conditioning systems (HVAC), welding equipment, alternative energy systems, motor drives, power electronics and more.
