Vishay introduces a new 5th generation TO-244 packaged FRED Pt 600V Ultrafast rectifier

     Vishay Intertechnology announced the launch of four new TO-244 packaged 5th generation FRED Pt 600 V Ultrafast rectifiers. Vishay Semiconductors' new 240 A, 300 A, 480 A and 600 A rectifiers have excellent conduction and switching loss characteristics, which can effectively improve the efficiency of intermediate frequency power converters and soft and hard switching or resonant circuits.

    The conduction loss of the rectifier is lower than the FRED Pt Ultrafast solution of TO-244 package competitor. At the same time, the reverse recovery loss is low, which can improve the efficiency of various industrial applications, such as high-frequency welding and ballast water management system. The high-speed and high temperature resistant VS-VS5HD240CW60, VS-VS5HD300CW60, VS-VS5HD480CW60 and VS-VS5HD600CW60 devices are suitable for industrial applications. The typical value of Qrr is as low as 260 nC, the fast recovery time is only 52 ns, and the maximum operating temperature is+175 ℃.
