Vishay Intertechnology has announced the launch of five new 10 MBd low-power high-speed optocouplings that help save energy for industrial applications. The single-channel VOH260A, VOIH060A and VOWH260A and the dual-channel VOH263A and VOIH063A voltage ranges from 2.7V to 5.5V with open-collector outputs for low-voltage microcontrollers, I2C and SPI bus systems.
The Vishay Semiconductors device combines an efficient input LED with an integrated programmable output photodetector logic gate in DIP-8, SMD-8 and SOIC-8 packages. The maximum power supply current per channel is only 5 mA, the switching threshold current is low, the typical value is 2 mA, and the microcontroller direct connection does not need to increase the driver stage, thus simplifying the design.
The VOH260A, VOIH060A, VOWH260A, VOH263A and VOIH063A are suitable for data communication, high-speed A/D and D/A conversions, signal level conversions and high voltage protection for automation equipment, motor drives and power tools. Internal shielding ensures a minimum transient common mode noise suppression (CMTI) of 15 kV/μs. The optocoupler has low on-threshold current and supply current, making it an ideal solution for current noise isolation and grounding loop disconnection in digital applications.
