Vishay introduces miniature axial aluminum electrolytic capacitors to improve design flexibility and reliability

     Vishay Intertechnology has introduced two new series of miniature axial aluminum electrolytic capacitors. The Vishay BCcomponents 125 ALS and 126 ALX series offer compact housings in 10 sizes from 6.5 mm x 18 mm to 21 mm x 38 mm, combining an operating temperature of up to +125°C and a service life of up to 10,000 hours.

     The device's axial leads and low profile provide designers with greater design flexibility, while its high temperature performance and long service life increase reliability in demanding applications in demanding environments. As polarized aluminum electrolytic capacitors with non-solid electrolytes, these devices are suitable for smoothing, filtering, and buffering in power supplies for automotive, industrial, and telecommunications applications.

     The 125 ALS and 126 ALX series feature cylindrical aluminum housing insulated with blue bushings and offer capacitance values ranging from 33 µF to 18,000 µF, rated voltage ranges from 10 V to 63 V, and high-ripple currents of 1860 mA. RoHS compliant capacitors are resistant to charge and discharge and are resistant to vibration and shock. For automatic insertion, the device is available in a boxed version for selected housing sizes.
