Vishay introduces new suppression film capacitors certified for "high humidity and high reliability"

Vishay has introduced three new series of X1, X2 and Y2 Electromagnetic interference (EMI) suppression film capacitors -F340X1, F340X2 and F340Y2 - which meet the standards for jumper and bypass circuit applications. The latest series of F340 EMI suppression capacitors meet the most stringent humidity reliability requirements and are certified to IEC 60384-14:2013 ed.4 / AMD1:2016 Level IIIB: "High humidity and High Reliability".

     Vishay has introduced three new series of X1, X2 and Y2 Electromagnetic interference (EMI) suppression film capacitors -F340X1, F340X2 and F340Y2 - which meet the standards for jumper and bypass circuit applications. The latest series of F340 EMI suppression capacitors meet the most stringent humidity reliability requirements and are certified to IEC 60384-14:2013 ed.4 / AMD1:2016 Level IIIB: "High humidity and High Reliability".

 

     To meet IEC 60384-14:2013 ed.4 / AMD1: 2016 IIIB specified humidity level requirements, recently released Vishay BCcomponents in the temperature 85 °C, relative humidity 85%, rated AC voltage conditions, after 1000 hours of temperature and humidity bias (THB) test, capacitance value, loss factor and insulation resistance has very high stability. This results in longer service life in harsh applications of industrial and automotive power electronics, such as battery chargers, renewable energy inverters, motor drivers and UPS.

 

     The F340X1 has a rated voltage of 480 VAC, a capacitance of 0.22 µF to 8.2 µF, and a maximum operating voltage of 530 VAC, ensuring compliance with the requirements of three-phase power supply voltage variations. The F340X2 has A rated voltage of 305 VAC, a capacitance of 1 µF to 20 µF, and a ripple current of up to 18 A at 10 kHz. The F340Y2 is AEC-Q200 certified and has a rated voltage of 305 VAC and a capacitance of 10 nF to 1 µF.

 

     The full range of F340 devices is certified for EN, UL and CQC safety and humidity reliability. The capacitor pin spacing is 15 mm, 22.5 mm, 27.5 mm, 37.5 mm and 52.5 mm. Capacitor moulded case and epoxy resin seal flame retardant rating according to UL 94 V-0 standard. All three series are RoHS lead-free (Pb) compliant. The F340X1 480VAC and F340X2 305VAC also comply with Vishay green standards and are halogen-free.
