Vishay introduces radial lead high voltage single layer ceramic capacitor

Vishay Intertechnology has announced the launch of its latest series of small radial lead high voltage single layer ceramic capacitors - the RoedersteinHVCC series. Vishay RoedersteinHVCC series capacitors are the only devices in the industry with a capacitance value of up to 2 nF, which guarantees a 1000-hour load life at 125% rated voltage and +105 ° C temperature with a dissipation factor of less than 1.5%.

     The HVCC series capacitors provide a qualified, high-performance replacement for nearly all Murata capacitors with product numbers beginning with DHR, and the company has officially issued a discontinuation notice for this product. Please refer to Vishay's HVCC series capacitor data sheet for verification requirements.

 

     High-capacity HVCC devices can achieve 2 nF capacitance values without having to parallel two 1 nF capacitors. For designers, this saves space, reduces assembly costs, and improves the reliability of high-voltage generators for dental and baggage scanners, medical and industrial X-ray applications, and pulsed lasers.

 

     The device capacity range is 100 pF to 2000 pF - standard tolerance is  20% - voltage range is 10 kVDC to 15 kVDC, operating temperature -30 ° C to +105 ° C. The HVCC series capacitors are also available with a 20 kVDC rated voltage,  10% tolerance device, and customized lead styles on request.

 

     The device series consists of silver-coated porcelain and tinned copper-clad steel connection leads with diameters of 0.6 mm and 0.8 mm. The capacitors are provided with in-line pins with spacing of 9.5 mm and 12.5 mm. RoHS compliant devices are packaged in UL 94 V-0 flame retardant epoxy resin.
