Vishay introduces the industry's leading standard rectifier and TVS 2-in-1 solution

Vishay Intertechnology today announced the introduction of the R3T2FPHM3, the industry's leading standard rectifier and transient voltage suppressor (TVS) two-in-one device, to provide a new surface mount solution for automotive applications. The Vishay General Semiconductor R3T2FPHM3 combines A 3 A, 600 V standard rectifier and a 200 W TRANSZORB TVS in a small FlatPAK 5 x 6 package with an oxide flat chip junction design and a common cathode circuit configuration.

     Vishay Intertechnology today announced the introduction of the R3T2FPHM3, the industry's leading standard rectifier and transient voltage suppressor (TVS) two-in-one device, to provide a new surface mount solution for automotive applications. The Vishay General Semiconductor R3T2FPHM3 combines A 3 A, 600 V standard rectifier and a 200 W TRANSZORB TVS in a small FlatPAK 5 x 6 package with an oxide flat chip junction design and a common cathode circuit configuration.

 

     Operating at -55 C to +175 C, the device is suitable for a variety of high-reliability automotive applications, including secondary protection of sensor units, distributed airbag modules, and low-power DC/DC converters under power dividers. Two-chip solutions combine two different technologies in a single package, saving PCB space, simplifying layout, and reducing the overall cost of these applications. In series with standard TVS, the R3T2FPHM3 offers designers a complete low clamp voltage ratio > 24 V solution.

 

     The forward voltage of the rectifier for the 2-in-1 device is reduced to 0.86V, helping to reduce power loss and improve efficiency, and the breakdown voltage of TVS is 27 V. The ESD capability of the R3T2FPHM3 complies with IEC 61000-4-2 standards (air discharge and contact discharge modes); The MSL humidity sensitivity level reaches the level 1 specified by J-STD-020, and the maximum peak value of LF is 260 C; The molded fire resistance rating reaches UL 94 V-0. The device is RoHS compliant, halogen-free and AEC-Q101 certified.
