Vishay offers automotive grade glass package protection for NTC thermistors in 0603 and 0805 R25 new resistance values

     Vishay Intertechnology, Inc. announced that NTCS0603E3..... T and NTCS0805E3... T series automotive grade glass package protection thermistor expanded 0603 and 0805 dimensions, new resistance at +25 °C (R25). The device conforms to AEC-Q200 standard, R25 resistance includes 1 kW, 1.5 kW low resistance and additional 5 kW resistance, suitable for electric vehicle (EV) and hybrid electric vehicle (HEV) IGBT and power MOSFET module protection.

     The enhanced thermistor is glass-enclosed for full protection with R25 resistance and β (B25/85) tolerances as low as ± 1% for accurate temperature detection, protection and compensation in the temperature range from -40 °C to +150 °C. NTCS0603E3..... T and NTCS0805E3... T-series devices are smaller than MELF resistors, easy to assemble, and have extremely high bending strength. They are suitable for on-board up/down converters, LED modules, battery packs, charging piles for electric vehicles, wind power and solar panel inverters, and office equipment.

     The NTC thermistor is of SMD construction with nickel tin terminals, suitable for wave soldering and reflow soldering. The device is RoHS compliant, halogen-free and packaged in coil perforated paper tape with 4000 pieces per disc.
