Vishay Intertechnology announced the launch of three new 2020DE-- IFSC-2020DE-01, 3232DB-- IFSC-3232DB-01 and 5050HZ-- IFDC-5050HZ packages. Expand its shielded IFDC and semi-shielded IFSC series of surface-mount wound ferrite inductors. Vishay Dale inductors increase rated inductance and current while reducing direct current resistance (DCR), providing a better price/performance ratio than previous generation ferrite solutions for computer and consumer electronics applications.
The IFSC-2020DE-01, IFSC-3232DB-01 and IFDC-5050HZ are comparable in performance to previous generation ferrite solutions, but with a 60% reduction in size and enhanced performance over similar-sized devices, including operating at +125°C and up to 120 V. In addition, the DCR of IFSC-2020DE-01 and IFSC-3232DB-01 is reduced by 40%, and the saturation current of IFDC-5050HZ is up to 14 A.
Other high-performance inductors have a typical maximum inductance value of 100 mH, and the recently released IFSC-2020DE-01 and IFSC-3232DB-01 devices have a sensing value of up to 470 mH, and the IFDC-5050 Hz reaches 1 mH. In addition, with efficient manufacturing techniques and a simple skeleton winding structure, the IFSC and IFDC series inductors are a cost-effective solution compared to IHLP inductors, while guaranteeing high quality and reliability.
Due to the low loss ferrite core structure and low DCR for improved energy efficiency, these devices are well suited for energy storage inductors used in various DC/DC conversion circuits in consumer electronics and battery-powered devices. In addition, the IFSC and IFDC families provide cost-effective solutions for power line noise suppression in differential LC filter topologies. Key markets include a variety of consumer entertainment devices, such as televisions, audio, audio and gaming systems; General-purpose computing devices such as desktops, monitors and scanners; And other household appliances. In these applications, the IFDC-5050HZ (the coil is enclosed in an external magnetic material that effectively shields stray magnetic flux) reduces electromagnetic interference (EMI) and crosstalk from adjacent components.
