WAGO's new smart printer

     WAGO's new smart printer offers a wide range of hardware and software that allows printing custom labels. The device uses heat conduction technology. This printer makes the labeling process very efficient and produces high quality output. The product is affordable, easy to install, prints 300dpi stickers and is stain and scratch resistant, so it can last forever. Placing cable and wire markers, terminal identifiers, device identifiers, and other types of tags is easy and doesn't take much time at all.

     "Whatever label needs to be attached, a smart printer will do it," explains Manuel Gerschwind, product manager at Conrad Electronics. "This allows switchgear to recognize at a glance and be consistent across the board." Printers can be operated through serial interfaces, USB, and Ethernet. The device provides smartSCRIPT software, easy to set up. For example, smartSCRIPT supports importing label content from Excel and CAE tools. Printing labels directly in the CAE is another time-saving method. Thanks to the EPLAN connection, the product can print electrical terminal identifiers, wire markings and other switchgear labels designed using CAE tools.

     In addition, users can use the company's Smart Designer configuration software to generate label content that can then be forwarded to a printer. For example, terminal labels only require a few mouse clicks. There's also a new Print Assistant feature to speed up the printing process. The device includes a power unit, a USB cable, a thermal transfer endless tag roller and a set of WMB inline badges, two rollers, a drum base, an ink band and smartSCRIPT tagging software, as well as the required drivers.
