WiSA Technologies, Inc., a leading provider of immersive wireless sound effects for smart devices and next-generation home entertainment systems, announced that it has developed and demonstrated its latest WiSA E technology designed to enable the next generation of immersive audio products. Designed for television sets, the WiSA E delivers high-quality multi-channel audio transmission that can support up to 8 (or even 10) separate speaker units without the need for HDMI cables to connect to a bar speaker (soundbar).

By eliminating the need for duplicate parts between TVS and bar speakers, consumers can expect to save hundreds of dollars while enhancing their audio experience. WiSA E provides consumers with a comprehensive set of options covering cost characteristics, design and acoustic characteristics. This complete solution enables the end user's TV to interoperate with multiple brands of speakers/speakers.
"The bar speaker brought the average consumer the first generation of good, affordable multichannel audio systems, but it came at the cost of another cable and another piece of electronics appearing in front of our beautiful high-definition television sets." The really perfect solution would be to eliminate all wired devices and allow the TV to transmit and create a better immersive sound field, rather than having as many speakers as possible on one device."
More and more content is now available with 5.1-channel immersive sound, and the new content will support Dolby Atmos with 5.1.4 channels. These developments prevent bar speaker products from creating the audio fields that consumers expect, and consumers from experiencing these immersive audio formats. WiSA E solves this problem by providing high quality wireless multichannel audio to the average consumer.
