Wide input voltage synchronous step-down converter

NCP3101C is an efficient 6 a DC-DC step-down converter designed to operate from 5v to 12v power supplies. The device is capable of producing an output voltage as low as 0.8V. The NCP3101C has a continuous output of 6a via an internally set 275 kHz oscillator driven MOSFET switch.

The 40-pin device provides the optimal level of integration to reduce the size and cost of the power supply. The NCP3101C also incorporates an externally compensated transconductance error amplifier and capacitor programmable soft start capability. Protection features include programmable short-circuit protection and input undervoltage locking (UVLO). The NCP3101C is available in a 40-pin QFN package
