With advanced touch keys and security features, Renesas RXv2 MCU is ideal for home appliances and industrial applications

     The RX140 microcontroller in the Renesas RX100 family offers the highest processing performance and low power current. This makes them suitable for a wide range of home appliance, industrial and building automation applications. The RX140 with the RXv2 kernel can achieve a maximum operating frequency of 48 MHz, which is about twice the performance of the previous RX130 operating frequency of 32 MHz.

     Compared to the RX130, the CPU consumes 56 µA/MHz during operation and 0.25 µA in standby mode, a power reduction of more than 30%. Low Power Mode (Sleep mode) also enables additional low power mode for applications that need to run intermittently.

     Capacitive touch sensors are equipped with a third generation touch IP for significantly improved noise and water resistance, and for a wide range of applications, including those where accuracy is affected by noise or moisture. Peripheral features have also been expanded, including the CAN function to support real-time communications, the AES encryption accelerator to reduce security threats such as data eavesdropping and tampering, and the true random number generator.
