Wolter Electronics introduced a new generation of 1W "fixed output voltage isolation SIP/SMT module", adding a new product to the MagI ³ C FISM power module family. This series is improved on the basis of integrated voltage converter, and its outstanding features include: continuous short circuit protection (SCP) and higher isolation voltage. Nine new modules are packaged with standard SIP-4, SIP-7 and SMT-8, which are compatible with the pins of the previous MagI ³ C FISM products

     Wurth Electronics has introduced a new generation of 1 W "Fixed Output Voltage Isolation SIP/SMT module", adding a brand new product to the MagI³C FISM family of power modules. The series improves on the integrated voltage converter and features continuous short circuit protection (SCP) and higher isolation voltage. The nine new modules come in standard SIP-4, SIP-7 and SMT-8 packages that are compatible with the pins of previous MagI³C FISM products.


     The MagI³C FISM power module is a highly integrated DC/DC voltage converter with a fixed output voltage. The module contains power devices, transformers, input and output capacitors, which can work without external components and greatly reduce the workload of circuit design. This reduces development costs and allows new products to be brought to market faster. The entire product line is certified to the current UL62368-1 standard, but the new generation modules offer higher security. It will not be damaged by short circuit, and has high isolation voltage. The isolation voltage of SIP-4 module is up to 1.5kV, and the isolation voltage of SIP-7 and SMT-8 is up to 3kV, which can last for 60 seconds.


     This makes the new generation of MagI³C-FISM modules more suitable for functional isolation, avoiding ground loops and ground level shifts, as well as interference with signal paths or sensor systems. Such isolated voltage resistance is important when designing power supplies for interfaces and microcontrollers in test equipment or industrial electronics.
