XP Power introduces 20W & 40W PCB AC-DC power supply

     Complementation the previously announced 3W, 5W and 10W modules, the VCE20 and VCE40 series offer 20W and 40W of power, respectively, and are available in packaged and lower-priced bare-board versions, both of which are suitable for PCB mounting. The compact (VCE20-63.5 mm x 30.5 mm x 21.8 mm /VCE40-85.0 mm x 35.1 mm x 27.7 mm) size and PCB pin design ensure that the product is easily integrated into the design, thereby safely connecting the power supply directly to the PCB board. The ultra-compact design features of these two products provide a complete electromagnetic compatibility filter, holding capacitors and fuses, so no external components are required and the product offers a true space-saving solution.

     Both series offer an extended universal input range from 85VAC to 305VAC and are available worldwide - including those applications that require higher voltage operation. The single output rail is available in seven voltages ranging from 3.3VDC to 48.0VDC (3.3, 5.0, 9.0, 12.0, 15.0, 24.0, 48.0).The VCE20 and VCE40 comply with a range of pre-approved international safety standards for communications and home use, including IEC60950-1, IEC/UL/EN62368-1 and IEC60335-1, simplifying the process of obtaining certification on end devices.

     3kVAC's input-output insulation and CLASS II rating ensure that the product is suitable for safe operation in a growing number of applications that do not include ground connections. Low standby power down to 300mW means the product is suitable for home appliances and iot applications where devices may be in standby mode for extended periods of time.

     The VCE20 and VCE40 series offer 85% efficiency and can operate at the lowest temperature rise, which means that no heat sink is required, which reduces the space required for installation, reduces the weight of the terminal equipment, and reduces the BOM cost.
