XP Power introduces a new family of regulated high voltage DC-DC converters for semiconductor and detector applications

     XP Power has announced the HRC05 series of 5W regulated high voltage DC-DC converters, which provide fully reconcilable and reliable output voltages of up to 6kVDC in a small package. The modules in this series provide a complete set of functions for R&D engineers engaged in high voltage integration as standard in a compact package. Key highlights include low line and load regulation (< 0.01%) and excellent ripple performance (< 0.01%) to provide accurate and reliable high pressure for long-term applications. All modules comply with IEC/UL/CSA/EN 62368-1, 61010-1 safety standards and are UKCA and CE certified to comply with applicable directives and regulations used worldwide.

     The HRC05 series has a rated input voltage of 24VDC and an operating range of 22VDC to 30VDC. It has 18 types of modules to choose from, positive and negative DC output range from 0V to 350V, up to 0V to 6000V. The output voltage can be adjusted from 0 to 100% with an on-board 0 to +5VDC reference input for high voltage integration and control. Voltage and current monitoring outputs are also included in the standard package.

     This PCB-mounted, convection-cooled model measures only 65mm x 33mm x 14mm (WxLxH); They are packaged in an UL94V-0 grade packaging material and an internally grounded 5-sided metal housing, providing optimal mechanical integration and robustness that can be integrated into the entire system and save space. The HRC05 series operates from -40°C to +70°C with no current derating in this range. The stability is 100ppm within 8 hours (after 30 minutes of preheating).

     The HRC05 series provides short circuit, arc, overload and overtemperature protection circuits as well as remote on/off functions to ensure the safety of the equipment and its installation applications. Key applications include mass spectrometry, electrophoresis, electrostatic suction cups, detectors, capacitor charging, scanning electron microscopy (SEMs), imaging and diagnostic equipment.
