XP Power introduces a product with an excellent power density of 26W/in3

     As a product with an outstanding Power density of 26W/in3, XP Power's SIP9 package, 5W rated IMM05 converter takes up 65% less PCB board space than competing products, and its extremely low 2uA leakage current makes it ideal for medical BF and CF applications.

     The IMM05 series is suitable for 60601-1 medical applications worldwide with 2:1 input range, 1500VAC insulation and 1 x MOPP (250Vrms). The product has an operating temperature range of -20 to 100 degrees Celsius and a full load output of up to 60 degrees Celsius.

     When suppressed, the standby current of the IMM05 series is only 2.5mA, and the product has standard control and protection features including remote on/off, output short circuit and overload protection. Measuring just 26 x 9.3 x 12.5 mm, the SIP-9 package takes up minimal PCB space, giving product designers more room to add additional features or reduce the overall size of the end product.

     The product is available in a variety of modules, with three input voltage ranges of 4.5-9.0V, 9.0-18.0V and 18.0-36.0V, four single output modules of 3.3, 5, 12 and 15V, and two dual output modules of +/-12 and +/-15V. XP Power's IMM05 series is competitively priced and approved for medical applications such as instrumentation, diagnostics and distributed power architectures that require medical safety compliance.
