XP Power introduces a small, ultra-thin 150W AC-DC power supply

     XP Power has announced the EPL150 series of high-power density, ultra-thin size, bare version AC-DC power supplies for space-critical, cost-sensitive, industrial, communications and medical applications. The output power of EPL150 series can reach 100W when cooling by natural convection, and 150W when the air flow is 10CFM.

     The product measures 101.6 x 50.8 mm and its ultra-thin 25.1 mm thickness makes it ideal for space-constrained applications. The best-in-class power density is achieved by high efficiency, up to 95% at 150W and more than 85% at loads as low as 10%. The no-load loss is less than 0.5W, which can effectively reduce operating costs and meet the latest environmental targets and safety standards.

     The EPL150 series meets a range of safety standards, including IEC60950-1-1 and IEC62368-1 for communications equipment and IEC/ES60601-1 for medical equipment. The Medical safety standard applies to two modes of patient protection from input to output (2 x MOPP) and one mode of patient protection from input to ground and output to ground (1 x MOPP) for BF application component applications. The leakage current of the patient is less than 50µ A, input to output insulation test voltage is 4kVAC, input to ground and output to ground between 1.5kVAC.

     Low noise outputs are available at 12, 15, 18, 24, 28, 36 and 48V, and an additional 12V fan power supply is available with a rating of 0.5a. The product has an input range of 80-264VAC and a maximum operating altitude of 5,000 meters, making it suitable for use around the world. Full load output can reach +50°C, the ambient temperature reaches +70°C, the load begins to derate, the product features also include overvoltage, overload and short circuit protection. The EPL150 series can be used in many industries, including automation and process control, broadcasting, communications, oil and gas and healthcare, where the combination of small size, high efficiency, performance and safety certification will make the product more attractive.
