XP Power introduces ultra-compact, medical-compliant, 4:1 input DC-DC converters for BF and CF applications

     XP Power has officially announced the JMR03/10/20 series for 3W, 10W and 20W, an ultra-compact, medically compliant DC-DC converter that offers a 4:1 input ratio, making it suitable for a wide range of input requirements. The product offers 2 x MOPP (Patient Protection Mode) with a leakage current of only 2A, ensuring easy integration into BF (body suspension) and CF (heart suspension) grade medical applications.

     One of the outstanding features of this product is the low no-load input idle current (as low as 4mA, depending on the model), which increases efficiency, reduces waste heat, and extends the operating time of battery-powered portable devices. The compact design of the JMR03/10/20 series saves valuable PCB space and provides more space for developers' applications. This rugged, enclosed product is suitable for a variety of mechanical pressure applications, including medical imaging, patient monitoring, patient treatment, dental and respiratory care equipment.

     Modules in the JMR03 (3.5W), JMR10 (10W) and JMR20 (20W) series are available in 5V, 12V, 15V±12V or ±15V output voltages, with an additional ±5V output in the JMR10/20 series. Dual output modules can also provide a single 10V, 24V or 30V output. The single output module can also adjust the output voltage from -10% to +10% according to non-standard requirements. All output power and voltage combinations can operate at 24V (9.0-36.0V) or 48V (18.0-75.0V) inputs, and the JMR03/10 series can also operate at 12V (4.5-18V) inputs.

     The JMR03/10/20 series operates from -40°C to +100°C. All modules offer short circuit and overload protection with remote on/off function and input-output insulation voltage of 5kVac. Safety regulations include UL/CSA/IEC/EN 60601-1 and UL62368-1, low voltage and RoHS directives with CE and UKCA markings.
