XP Power introduces ultra-thin, low-cost DIN rail power supply

     XP Power has announced the launch of the AC-DC DIN Rail Power DSR family for Industrial control systems (ICE) and information technology equipment (ITE) applications. This versatile power supply delivers reliable power with 150% peak load capability in an ultra-thin DIN rail metal package.

     As a competitively priced product, the ultra-thin, space-saving design features of the DSR series enable 75W and 120W modules with a width of only 32mm and 240W modules with a width of 45mm, making this product the thinnest form factor on the market today.

     The product can be used for industrial and building control applications, including machine control, process control, factory automation, escalator/travel/elevator/lift control, building heating/air conditioning monitoring, control and security systems.

     Technological advances in these areas require more automation and control while minimizing control system size without compromising reliability. XP Power's DSR family is fully equipped to meet these needs.

     The DSR75, DSR120 and DSR240 of the DSR series are 75W, 120W and 240W respectively, with efficiencies of 91, 92 and 94%, respectively. Two of the low-power modules have 12, 24 and 48V outputs, while the DSR240 series has 24 or 48V outputs. All module inputs are 85 to 264 VAC.

     The 150% peak load capacity of the product can start electromechanical loads. The operating temperature range is -25 to +70 degrees Celsius, and all modules can be rated up to 50 or 60 degrees Celsius. Volt-free relay contacts facilitate remote monitoring of DCOK. Products can be connected in parallel to meet higher requirements or configured to provide N+ 1 redundancy in critical applications.
