Xilinx helps Subaru achieve a new generation of EyeSight systems

     Xilinx, a global leader in adaptive and intelligent computing, announced that Xilinx technology is being used to support the latest version of Subaru's Vision Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS) EyeSight. Integrated into the new Subaru Levorg model, the new EyeSight system will provide advanced features including adaptive cruise control, lane keeping assist and pre-collision braking, putting best-in-class safety technology into the hands of consumers.

Our new generation of systems uses image processing technology that differs from conventional methods to fully scan everything captured by stereo cameras and create a high-precision point cloud, allowing us to offer advanced features such as pre-collision braking in intersection scenarios and autonomous driving in congested highway traffic environments. Xilinx technology plays an important role in this system. "With the wide range of built-in features that enable us to meet our stringent ASIL requirements, Xilinx devices are the best technology to support Subaru's ADAS vision system."

     Xilinx's XA Zynq UltraScale+™ MPSoC multiprocessor system on chip uses 16nm technology to provide EyeSight with the high performance, ultra-low latency and functional safety (ASIL) capabilities needed to accurately depict and respond to dynamic driving scenarios.
