Xilinx introduces the world's highest performance adaptive device

     Xilinx, a global leader in adaptive and intelligent computing, announced the launch of two new Zynq® UltraScale+™ MPSoC 7EV and 11EG Xylinx Automotive grade (XA) devices to further enrich its automotive 16nm product family. The two new devices offer the best programmability, performance and I/O capabilities, high-speed data summary, Pre-processing and distribution (DAPD) capabilities and computational acceleration for Advanced Driver assistance system (ADAS) applications from L2+ to L4 and automated driving (AD) applications.

     With the launch of these two new products, Xilinx now offers the highest level of chip integration in the world, from small devices supporting edge sensors to new high-performance devices for centralized domain controllers, Xilinx can now address automotive safety, quality and reliability requirements by offering a full range of product lines.

     The new XA Zynq UltraScale+ MPSoC 7EV and 11EG devices were developed in response to customer demand. The new device offers more than 650,000 programmable logic units and nearly 3,000 DSP units, an increase of 2.5 times compared to the previous largest device. In addition, the XA 7EV has a built-in video codec unit for h.264/h.265 codec, while the XA 11EG has 32 built-in 12.5Gb/s transceivers and offers four PCIe®Gen3x16 modules. The addition of these two high-performance devices to Xilinx's automotive and product family enables automakers, robo-taxi developers and Tier 1 suppliers to perform DAPD and compute acceleration within a range of power consumption to support scale-to-scale deployment of autonomous vehicle production.

     The XA Zynq UltraScale+ MPSoC portfolio is certified to the AEC-Q100 test specification and integrates Xilinx programmable logic, With ASIL-C level certification in the low power domain, the feature-rich 64-bit quad-core Arm® Cortex®™-A53 and dual-core Arm Cortex-R5 processing systems are available. Combining these capabilities, along with the powerful data throughput offered by the new devices, could accelerate the deployment of autonomous vehicles. To date, Xilinx has supplied more than 67 million automotion-grade solutions for ADAS systems and AD vehicle manufacturing to more than 200 automotive companies, including global Tier 1 suppliers, Oems and start-ups.
