Yageo introduces vehicle gauge X8G MLCC laminated ceramic capacitors resistant to operating temperatures up to 150°C

Yageo, the world's leading manufacturer of passive components, introduces the X8G(i.e., the NPO medium gauge product) with a temperature characteristic that can withstand operating environments up to 150°C. The first batch of ceramic capacitors are 0805 in size, with a capacity range of 1nF ~ 10nF and a rated voltage of 100V. Sizes will be extended to 0603 and 0402. This means that the MLCC product line has been equipped with X8R and X8G two high temperature 150°C resistant media.

     For the sake of safety or entertainment and comfort, many automotive electronic devices originally used in high-end vehicles are gradually applied to general vehicles, so the increase in electronic systems has led to a sharp increase in the demand for MLCC. On the other hand, due to the importance of having a spacious and comfortable ride space, these new electronics are installed in the engine block in a high-temperature environment, which also creates the need for the MLCC to withstand high temperatures.

 

     The X8G has excellent temperature characteristics and a very small capacitance range. It is classified as Class I MLCC and has excellent capacitance stability with a capacitance change of less than ±30ppm/°C and can withstand temperatures from -55°C to +150°C. The material properties of X8G make its SRF(self-resonance frequency) higher than the MLCC of Class II materials, so, like NPO, X8G can play a great role in the application of high frequency products, and it is in high demand.

 

     Yageo X8G MLCC In addition to the basic vehicle specification AEC-Q200 specifications, and can achieve higher quality requirements, with a longer life and better stability. In order to achieve these excellent product characteristics, X8G uses high-grade product raw materials, advanced and dedicated production lines, and through strict production control, the entire process is fully automated mechanical inspection to the highest production standards. PPAP and RoHS documents are also available. It can be said that the X8G MLCC provides our partners with a wider range of choices and better solutions to meet higher product specifications and apply to more product application levels.
