ams AS7038xB and AS7030B vital signs sensors

     The AS7038xB Vital Signs Sensor and AS7030B Vital Signs Module from ams. These small sensors are suitable for a variety of new medical wearables and remote diagnostic devices, such as disposable patches for measuring blood oxygen saturation (SpO2) and electrocardiogram (ECG).

     The ams AS7038RB and AS7038GB sensors and AS7030B sensor modules are based on two common heart rate monitoring (HRM) and heart rate variability (HRV) measurement methods: photoplethysmography (PPG) and electrocardiography (ECG) The light is sampled to measure the pulse rate. The AS7038RB sensor is an ultra-thin sensor dedicated to SpO2 measurement, measuring only 3.70mm × 3.10mm × 0.65mm, combining small size, integrated functions and high-performance signal chain, enabling designers to integrate important monitoring functions into small consumer products such as earbuds, smartwatches and wristbands, as well as medical devices such as patches and oximeters.

     The sensor uses on-chip interference filtering technology developed by ams to capture optical signals at 590nm-710nm wavelengths and near-infrared (800nm-1050nm) wavelengths for SpO2 measurement while preventing interference from ambient light at other wavelengths.

     The AS7038GB sensor has a peak sensitivity wavelength of 525nm (green) and is suitable for heart rate monitoring (HRM) and heart rate variability (HRV) measurements; the AS7030B HRM/HRV sensor module integrates two in a 3.55mm × 6.2mm × 1mm package 535nm LEDs.
